First Year Seminar Series: Getting Started with Career Planning
Getting started is often the most difficult part of any process. This seminar will provide first-year and transfer engineering & computer science students with a starting point from which to begin the career planning process. The following will be covered in this session:
* An overview of the career services available exclusively to engineering and computer science students
* What qualities and experiences employers are seeking from applicants
* Suggestions for developing and communicating skills that will be meaningful to recruiters
* An overview of the campus recruiting process & timeline
* A description of upcoming events and workshops that will give you an advantage in the recruiting process
