Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Student Round Table
Sponsored by the Master of Urban Planning Program
The students of the Master of Urban Planning Program, have made a tradition of having an event dedicated to the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. every year during the MLK week at the University of Michigan. Over the years, the UP MLK Committee has worked to promote the social justice ideals of Dr. King in the context of urban planning by panel discussions on topics like mortgage foreclosures, redistribution of wealth and immigration and its impact on the American city. This year’s campus event will be a round table discussion via video link between Taubman College and the University of Michigan Detroit Center.
