The Future of History Conference at University of Michigan's Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning, April 1 and April 2, 2011, welcomes critics, practitioners and academics presenting how history transforms the present and will shape the future. Presentations and panel discussions by the international roster of speakers are free and open to the public, however registration is preferred.
Organized in themed sessions composed of 15-minute presentations followed by group panel discussions, the conference aims to explore and hypothesize the single greatest movement of contemporary industry.
Future of History is the fourth conference in series of events (previous conferences being Future of Design, Fall 2009, Future of Urbanism, Winter 2010 and Future of Technology, Fall 2010) that bring together international experts to provide insight and debate on initiatives past, present and future.
