Literary Mystery Short Stories
Crime is Central
Join this weekly assembly of lovers of mysteries, where “mystery” will be a loosely-defined genre to include suspenseful and atmospheric stories where crime or the threat of crime is a central artifact of the story. We will select mysteries of strong literary merit pulled mostly from The Best American Mystery Stories anthologies and from The New Yorker, and will include classics as well contemporary masterpieces from award winning writers.
Various special topics on mysteries will be discussed. Each session will feature one story, which will be distributed in advance. The study group will be led by instructor Deb Mukherjee, with enough room for discussion.
This two-hour study group for those 50 and over will be held on Mondays from May 7 to June 25.
