On Friday, February 16th, the University Career Center will be taking 20 students to spend half a day at Clean Water Action Michiganin Ann Arbor. During this experience, students will tour the organization work space and learn about their community organizing work, campaign planning and development. Students will engage with members of the Clean Water Action team and gain a deeper understanding of their different areas ofwork through participating in campaign strategy training & learning how to write letters to lawmakers on current campaigns. Participants will leavewith a complete understanding of the organization in meeting with their staff director, a member of their field management staff, and a member oftheir policy team.

Clean Water Action Michigan Immersion schedule:

11:30am - Meet at the first floor of the StudentActivities Building (SAB)
11:45am - Walk with the group from the SAB to Clean Water Action Michigan (10 minute walk)
12:00pm - Immersion visit starts
- Tour Clean Water Action office
- Meet with Clean Water Action Michigan team & learn about the day-to-day of different roles
- Experience what some of their work is like through an interactive campaign writing/strategy activity with Clean Water Action team members
3:00pm - Immersion ends

Students must be able to attend the full program to participate. University Career Center staff will be along with you on the Immersion to guide you through the day, and more details will be provided to the selected participants. Students are advised to bring a copy of their updated resume to the event and dress is business casual.
