A mere 20-minute drive from Ann Arbor, the quaint town of Chelsea offers historic charm and unique attractions. You’ll get to experience some of them firsthand, beginning with the Chelsea Milling Company, famous for its production of Jiffy Mix.
After enjoying a guided tour of the facility, we’ll visit the Common Grill for a gourmet lunch. Following lunch, we’ll head to the award-winning Purple Rose Theatre for their production of FLINT, an original play by Jeff Daniels himself. The play’s focus on Vehicle City complements OLLI’s forthcoming day trip to Flint in June 2018. We’ll stick around after the performance for an exclusive “talkback” with FLINT cast before traveling back to Ann Arbor.
Guided tours will involve light walking, and the Purple Rose Theatre has stairs. Please notify us if you require accessible seating or have any other special needs. Boarding begins at 10:15 a.m. to ensure prompt departure at 10:45 a.m.
