Penny Stamps Distinguished Speaker Series: The Global Water Crisis and the Coming Battle for the Right to Water

Maude Barlow, National Chairperson of the Council of Canadians and chairs the board of Washington-based Food and Water Watch

The freshwater crisis is the greatest ecological crisis of our time as major portions of the planet run out of this element needed for life. It is also a major health issue and the cause of the reversal of the advancement of women in many communities. Barlow will outline the causes and dimensions of the crisis and offer a principle-based solution to a water-secure future for all.
