Readers & Best: Spring Break Alternative
For those who will be on campus during Spring Break (Saturday, February 24 through Sunday, March 4), the Ginsberg Center will be offering Readers & Best: Spring Break Alternative. Participants will read The Skin You Live In and The Name Jar to promote inclusion & diversity and then facilitate a classroom activity to K-5 classrooms in Washtenaw County.
Readers & Best, a collaborative initiative between Student Life’s Ginsberg Center and the Athletic Department, provides the opportunity for the UM campus to come together and share the joy of reading with local elementary-aged children.
Participants can sign-up for one or more half-day blocks. The Ginsberg Center will provide preparation and training, travel, support classroom engagement, and post-engagement reflection.
We hope to reach 80+ classrooms in our community!
Sign-up by February 8th at 11:59pm.
