Discussion on the Influential Nature & Ethics of Hip Hop

This discussion is part of "Shaping Sounds," the University of Michigan's first hip hop Beat Battle presented by F.O.K.U.S. (Fighting Obstacles Knowing Ultimate Success).

In the Hatcher Grad Library Gallery, 4-5:30 pm
Join a discussion about the influential nature & ethics of hip hop. A free beatbox workshop will follow the discussion.

In the Michigan Union Ballroom, 9:30pm-midnight
After the discussion and beatbox workshop in the Library Gallery, join the Beat Battle tournament in the Michigan Union Ballroom. The top 16 entries (previously submitted) will be paired randomly in the tournament. Winners will be determined by audience reaction (we need your help!), and a panel of judges will choose in the case of a tie. The winner will collect a $200 prize.
