Have you heard of Handshake? Did you think it was spam? You know networking is important, but stuck on how to connect with alumni? In this workshop we will let you know the 5 ways to utilize our office. Then we will focus demoing our to most popular platforms; Handshake & UCAN (University Career Alumni Network).

This will be an interactive session, so you will need a laptop or tablet to demo the websites. If you are unable to bring one, please ask a peer to share and follow along with them.

You should come if you…
- Aren’t sure how to use the UCC beyond resumes
- Want to learn how to connect to alumni
- Are looking for an internship or job
- Want to attend on-campus recruiting events

What you’ll do...
- Unearth 5 ways to utilize our office
- Learn why you should use Handshake, and setup a searchfilter
- Explore how to use UCAN and schedule an informational interview
