Ancient Methods of Stress and Anxiety Management

Date: July 7, 2018 (Saturday)
Time: 4:00 PM

Details: Mental stress and anxiety are part of the human condition. They are as old as human history. This discussion will focus on helpful systems of thought and physical exercises that will aid in effectively dealing with stress. The exercises will focus on forms of meditation and positive reinforcement.Speaker Biography: Swami Chidbrahmananda has been studying Vedanta for nearly 20 years. He joined the Ramakrishna Order of monks in 1999 after being introduced to the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda in Kolkata, India. He spent the following 15 years serving Swami Prabuddhananda, a senior monk of the Order leading the San Francisco monastery. In 2012 he was asked to help with the work in Hollywood and was sent from there to serve at the Vedanta Center of Greater Washington DC. His current work involves a new free medical clinic at the Vedanta Center and traveling to many small groups around the country to support spiritual development. He is not a guru, but a spiritual cheerleader for those at the back of the line.   This Event is Free and Open to General Public.
All are Welcome.
