Religion and the Birth of Osler's Humanism - Jeff Bishop, M.D. PhD

Dr. Jeffrey Bishop is a social and moral philosopher, teaching medical ethics and philosophy at Saint Louis University. He is also a physician. His first book, "The Anticipatory Corpse: Medicine, Power, and the Care of the Dying" is a philosophical history of the care of the dying, from ICU to palliative care. He will be giving a noon time talk on September 24th in West Lecture Hall Med Sci II as part of the University of Michigan Medical School Program on Health, Spirituality and Religion.
