Truth is Stranger than Fiction
Bizarre and Wonderful Adaptations of Deep Sea Fishes
A Lecture with William Fink, Curator of Fishes, Director of the Museum of Zoology, and a Professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.
Conditions are extreme in the depths of the oceans: it’s cold and dark, pressures are crushingly high, and food is scarce. Yet deep sea fishes have evolved to thrive in this inhospitable environment. In addition to video and photographs to illustrate his talk, Fink will bring specimens from the collection of the Museum of Zoology, and answer questions from the audience.
Co-sponsored by the U-M Museum of Zoology and the Exhibit Museum of Natural History
