CLIME (Community Led Interpretation for Medical Equity) is an undergraduate student-run initiative at the University of Michigan Medical School that aims to train a group of U of M undergraduates, interested in a career in the health fields, as medical interpreters for Spanish-speaking patients within the Michigan healthcare system. This initiative is aimed at improving the health outcomes of Spanish-speaking patients as well as creating opportunities for students underrepresented in medicine or students interested in addressing health disparities. Accepted students will volunteer as medical interpreters alongside physicians and medical students at the U of M Student Run Free Clinic in Pinckney, MI.Interested in learning more about CLIME?All interested undergraduate students are encouraged to attend the informational meeting either on Monday, September 10 at 9pm in Mason Hall room 2475 OR on Wednesday, September 12 at 8:30pm in Mason Hall room 3440.
