From Prison to Paralegal: An Interview with Edward Sanders
What technologies do inmates have access to while they are in prison? How are issues of access to information within the criminal justice system addressed? In our first event of the 2018-2019 year, the Information Alliance for Community Development (IACD) is proud to introduce Edward Sanders, a juvenile lifer who was incarcerated for 42 years, since he was a teenager. A gifted speaker, we will interview him for his experiences before, during, and after being incarcerated. Our goal is to promote IACD, in addition to identify potential volunteers to assist me with my weekend digital literacy classes. #RSVPToday at bit.ly/iacd18-1. Food will be provided in addition to an enlightening conversation.Join IACD and Ihudiya Ogburu, a current Ph.D. student at UMSI, as we promote the importance of digital literacy skills for access to resources and opportunities.
