On Wednesday, September 12th, the College of Engineering, together with Ford Motor Company, is pleased to host the annual Ford Day event on the UM campus. This year, Ford Day will feature Sherif Marakby, President and CEO of Ford Autonomous Vehicles LLC!
Ford will be on campus all day networking with students (9:00 am – 3:00 pm) and critiquing resumes (10:00 am – 4:00 pm) in the Duderstadt Center! Be sure to check out Ford vehicles on display in the Duderstadt Portico.
Later, stop by the Gerstacker Grove on North Campus from 3:30 – 5:30 pm for a BBQ dinner and ice cream featuring Sherif Marakby, who will be speaking and answering questions from 4:30-5:30 pm.

ABOUT SHERIF MARAKBY
President and CEO, Ford Autonomous Vehicles LLC
Sherif Marakby joined Ford Motor Company in 1990 and served in a variety of positions in Product Development throughout North America and Europe. He has extensive background in electrification, having led the Ford team to deliver a battery electric vehicle, plug-in hybrid vehicles, and hybrid electric vehicles.
Previously, Marakby was vice president, Autonomous Vehicles and Electrification after returning to Ford from Uber where he was the former vice president, global vehicle programs, from April 2016 to April 2017.
He was named Automotive News “Electrifying 100 EV leaders” in 2012 and “60 Who Are Steering Self-Driving Vehicles” in 2016. He also received multiple quality awards and he received the “Henry Ford Technology Award” in 2010. He is a Master Six-Sigma Blackbelt Champion.
Marakby has a Master in Electronics Engineering from the University of Maryland College Park, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
Marakby is also a Board Member at Argo AI and the Michigan Science Center.
