The National Investment Banking Competition & Conference
On behalf of the National Investment Banking Competition (NIBC), the NIBC Organizing team would like to invite you to our historic 10thyear anniversary event.
Every year, NIBC brings together students from over 100 universities and 150 professionals in the annual Case Competition and Conference. The Competition attracts over 400 teams comprised of 1,600 Undergraduate and Graduate students from top-tier business schools across the world. The finalist teams present to a Managing Directors Panel at the annual Gala Dinner in front of over 350 students and 150 professionals from 17 investment banks, 12 private equity and asset management firms, and several professional services firms.
Last year, finalist teams received a case package with refined research, datasets, and a scenario-enabled transaction model. Teams were given 8 hours of resolution time to analyze a realistic investment banking transaction and prepare a board presentation. Following the resolution period, teams were divided into poolsto conduct a 15-minute presentation and Q&A session adjudicated by experienced investment bankers in boardrooms by Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, RBC Capital Markets, BMO Capital Markets, CIBC Capital Markets, and TD Securities among others.
Registration is now open with the First Round heldonline throughout the Fall of 2018 and the Final Round in early March 2019.
NIBC was established in 2009 with the help of several investment banksto give high-caliber students from any geography an opportunity to measure their skills and be recognized by the industry. We are honored to have become the largest investment banking competition in the world thanks to the support of many banks and international competitors.
Competition Highlights:
• 1,600+ competitors from 100+ schools including Wharton, Columbia, Stanford, Yale, MIT, Western, Queens, McGill, Oxford, Cambridge and University of Hong Kong
• Cases designed by investment bankingprofessionals based on current themes and adjudicated by managing directors from US & Canadian banks
• Key representatives from sponsoring bankshave included the Vice Chairman of Investment Banking at JP Morgan and Global Head of Investment Banking at RBC Capital Markets
• Prominent keynotes have featured Robert Herjavec (Shark Tank) and Frank Giustra (Lions Gate Entertainment)
