Watermarks from Venice: A View behind the Exhibit
Do you wonder about what goes on behind the scenes...before an exhibit is ready for viewing? Pablo Alvarez, Outreach Librarian & Curator in the U-M Special Collections Library, will present “Watermarks from Venice: A View behind the Exhibit."
The exhibit "Watermarks from Venice," on display in the U-M Special Collections Library, shows examples of early printed books produced in Venice from the fifteenth century onwards, from the time when Venice was a culturally renowned center for book printing. It also features a display of images of the city, including film clips depicting Venice in a theatrical light. Come to hear the tale of how an idea materialized into a fascinating visual experience.
This presentation is part of a series of talks offered by the U-M Special Collections Library: "Special Collections: A View Behind the Scenes."
