87% of recruiters are using LinkedIn to attract and find their next employee. 92% of recruiters prefer to hire through LinkedIn ratherthan any other social network. Additionally, learning from what others have done in their career is a great way to explore areas of interest.

Join us to learn how to navigate and develop the basics of your own LinkedIn profile. Additionally, we will introduce ways to build connections andlearn more about opportunities through informational interviews by using LinkedIn and UCAN (University Career Alumni Network).

You should come if you:
- have been putting off making a LinkedIn profile
- want to learn ways to connect with alumni and friends
- looking for ways to boost your internship or job search game

What you’ll do...
- Understand differences between a resume vs. a LinkedIn profile
- Build a LinkedIn profilethat has at least 5 sections completed
- Recognize ways to utilize LinkedIn and UCAN for building connections

What you need to do before coming...
- Create or register a LinkedIn account (it’s free, takes about 3 minutes) -- linkedin.com
- Bring some type of device to work on account with (UCC can provide a few if student resources do not allow for this)
