Eight Landslide Case Histories - Lessons Learned

Landslides are a dramatic geotechnical hazard. Using a slideshow of 60+ photos and some graphical data, the speaker draws on personal experiences to discuss the history and challenges associated with discovering, investigating, and mitigating eight landslides from 2005 to 2014. Highlights include applications of geotechnical engineering principles to the analysis and design of slopes and anecdotes regarding geotechnical engineering consulting.
