Take Back the Night Rally and March
Raising community awareness of sexual assault
Come join campus and community members in the Take Back the Night Rally and March! This event is on Thursday, April 7th, from 7-9pm on the University of Michigan Diag. We are joining together in advocating against sexual assualt in our community and celebrating survivors. We will have musical acts, dance performances, speakers, poetry, statistics, and demands to draw attention to this serious issue. Our goal is to highlight how sexual assault can affect lives and communities in various ways as well as to showcase the strengths and resiliencies of survivors. The Rally will last approximately from 7-8pm, and immediately after we will begin our March through the streets of Ann Arbor. We will have signs, banners, drums, and chants to bring this issue to the streets. We will end the March with a brief candlelight vigil on the U-M Diag to remember those who have been lost. This event is completely FREE and open to all ages, genders, ethnicities, sexual orientations, ability statuses, and any others! We hope to see you there!
