Anarchism on Rye: Building a Business from A to Z

n researching his book series, "Zingerman's Guide to Good Leading," Ari Weinzweig, author, co-founder of Zingerman’s, and CEO of Zingerman’s Community of Businesses, was drawn to the anarchist writings in the Labadie Collection at the U-M Library. Ari's talk will include both personal and business history along with discussion of how the Zingerman's business model brings to life much of what anarchists were writing about. Ari will sign copies of the first book in the series, "A Lapsed Anarchist's Approach to Building a Great Business" which was named one of the top business books of 2010 by Inc. Magazine.

The Joseph A. Labadie Collection is the oldest research collection of radical history in the United States. It’s named for anarchist and labor organizer, Joseph Antoine Labadie, and is held in the Special Collections Library on the 7th floor of the Hatcher Graduate Library.

Join us for Ari's talk in the Hatcher Library Gallery on April 6th at 5:30 pm, followed by a book sale and book signing.
