Stern Faculty Fellow Ian Moyer reconstructs a history of public space in Ptolemaic Egypt by examining the gates and forecourt areas of Egyptian temples as places of communication, interaction, and translation that connected indigenous Egyptian élites, the Macedonian Greek dynasty of the Ptolemies, and the wider population of Egypt.
