Decisions at End of Life
What You Need to Know and Do
The course will discuss facts and issues concerning end-of- life decisions. Topics include: Michigan and federal laws on funerals, the discourse between family and doctors when a terminal illness is present, cross-cultural rituals about funerals, and local options and costs for cremation, green burial, etc. The difference between powers of attorney and advance directives will be explained. Handouts will include this information plus a list of facts for your survivors.
Instructor Marion Holt has extensive knowledge of end of life topics and has developed two courses on aging. This session for those 50 and above will meet on April 24 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
