"As their name indicates, New Country Rehab offer recovery from the saccharine pop that passes as country music these days," says Spinner.ca. New Country Rehab has been called Canada's answer to the Avett Brothers, but of course intelligent Canadian takes on American roots traditions go back to the Band and beyond, and there are all kinds of influences in this band's music, from bluegrass to the rootsier side of Arcade Fire. New Country Rehab has been one of Toronto's breakout groups of the past year, and we're happy to be presenting one of their first U.S. shows. Says Tom Power of CBC Radio: "New Country Rehab don’t let themselves be a folk band or a country band or a rock band, you just get the feeling that they care about making good music and that’s exactly what they do.New Country Rehab are the guys everyone wants in their band, in a band."
