The celebrated Guitar Masters tour gives axe aficionados and everyone else another chance to see three of the most popular, talented, innovative and musically rich acoustic guitar players and composers in contemporary music, coming together to perform and interact on stage. This show united musicians known for drawing out the full musicality of the solo acoustic guitar to near-orchestral dimensions. Creative sparks, one-time only stunning improvisations, and mutual inspiration abound as these musicians come together at the end of every show after performing separate sets. Topeka-born Andy McKee has made the cover of both Acoustic Guitar and Britain's Acoustic magazine this year; he entertains both the eye and the ear with his use of altered tunings, tapping, partial capos, percussive hits, and signature two-handed technique. Toronto's Stephen Bennett is an extraordinary musician, an acknowledged master of the harp guitar, a challenging teacher, a gifted composer, and a performer of astounding sensitivity. The Toronto Fingerstyle Guitar Association calls him “the Jedi Master of Fingerstyle Guitar.” Antoine Dufour has emerged as a young star of fingerstyle acoustic guitar, building a worldwide reputation for innovation and creativity with six albums of original material released to critical acclaim, two live DVDs, and more than 30 million cumulative views on YouTube. Antoine has performed at major venues such as the Montreal International Jazz Festival.
