The University of Michigan’s Conference on Transportation, Economics, Energy and Environment (TE3) is held annually in one of the world’s leading automotive manufacturing regions. The event brings together private and public stakeholders from across disciplines to share knowledge, exchange ideas and explore how we can accelerate the full electrification of transportation systems worldwide.

Transportation is the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in the United States. Fortunately, the decreasing cost of renewable energy combined with advancements in vehicle connectivity presents a historic opportunity to decarbonization the sector. TE3 helps support this transition by building valuable connections between scholars, government officials and industry leaders working at the forefront of electrified mobility.

Now in its sixth year, the 2019 TE3 Conference will focus on increasing the electrification of transportation worldwide, covering all forms of electrified vehicles (battery, hybrid and fuel cell) and their applications, including personal ownership, managed fleets, goods movement, and mobility-as-a-service. At the conference, participants will explore how we can use policy and technology to accelerate this exciting transition while accounting for the volatility of energy markets and uncertainties in consumer behavior.
