Walmart eCommerce team strives to provide a world-class selection of goods at the lowest price possible to our customers. We invite University of Michigan students to learn about what we are doing at Walmart.com and about our Category Specialist and Supply Chain positions.
Category Specialist
As a Category Specialist at Walmart eCommerce, this will be the earliest time in your career that you will have ownership of a P&L – and one of this size(worth up to millions of dollars)! You will be managing brands and products on a national scale—negotiating with your partners’ leadership teams and presenting to ours. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role by developing a deep understanding, insight, and control of your business, ensuring Walmart and our e-commerce family of brands meet the evolving high bar of our customers’ expectations. We give you expert “full body”training and exposure to all aspects of business – product, marketing, site merchandising, pricing, supply chain – so that you’re a well-rounded expert with the know-how to go anywhere.
Supply Chain & Inventory Management
The Supply Chain & Inventory Management team ensures we consistently have the right products, in the right place, at the right timeto deliver a superior customer experience. From demand planning, vendor management, order management and capacity planning to partnering with retail, warehouse and transportation teams, our expanding omnichannel supply chain anticipates Walmart.com customers’ needs. We are not just getting customers what they want today, we’re disrupting the status quo with next generation tools and capabilities that will support the customer’s needs in the future, all while providing everyday low prices. We will also have Walmart eCommerce Experienced Global Supply Chain Leader, Bhavani Subramaniam speaking!
