CURIS - Public Health Advocacy Mass Meeting
CURIS - Public Health Advocacy is a group of multi-disciplinary students dedicated to understanding public health concerns and working to advocate for public health in the local community. To do this, we partner with a local governmental or non-profit organization for the year to learn about a specific concern and spread awareness about it within Washtenaw County. This year we are looking to partner with Shelter Association of Washtenaw County. CURIS members collaborate in teams to assess the issue, do research, and create practical solutions which we present to our partner at the end of the year. Our collaborative work and dedication to promoting community with various social events creates a close knit and welcoming environment. Joining CURIS is a great way to make new friends, all while learning more about relevant public health concerns and making an impact locally. Please contact CURISeboard19-20@umich.edu with any questions.
