EXCEL Open Lab - Academic Jobs Panel "So You Want to Be a CollegeProfessor..."

What is the application process like? How do I prepare for interviews? Learn how to nail the application process and land your first academic position. This panel will explore those questions and more, featuring members of the Alumni Board:

Panelists:
Ann Marie Stanley, Ph.D, is Associate Professor of Music Education at Louisiana State University. Before her LSU appointment, Dr. Stanley was an Associate Professor of Music Education at the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester, where she was on the faculty from 2007-2016.

Stephen Lancaster, D.M.A., is Associate Professor of the Practice at the University of Notre Dame. For over ten years, he has taught studio voice lessons and voice area courses in the Dept. of Music. He also serves as head of the graduate voice studio in Notre Dame's Graduate Program in Sacred Music.

Courtney Snyder,D.M.A., is associate director of bands and assistant professor of conducting at the University of Michigan, where she directs the Concert Band, teaches conducting, and directs the Michigan Youth Wind Band – a group of select, auditioned high school students from area high schools.
