The Fulbright Student Program: Your Road to Fulbright

speaker speaker
speaker
The Institute of International Education, on behalf of the U.S. State Department, administers the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, which makes fellowships available to approximately 1,900 U.S. students annually to study, conduct research, teach English, or train in the creative arts in more than 140 countries worldwide. This national competition is administered on campus by the International Institute.

Join the International Institute for a meal and a workshop as we host Fulbright Administrative Official Michelle Bolourchi to learn about the Fulbright application process, and to discover what doors this experience can open for your future. We will be joined by special guest Chiamaka Ukachukwu - former Fulbright Fellow, current PhD candidate at U-M, and creator of Fulbright Noir - who will share her journey and what Fulbright has meant to her.

Fulbright provides an opportunity to build upon the college learning experience and continue down a path of your own choosing by going abroad. Whether your focus is pre-med, education, engineering, the arts, social work, or any other field around, there is a Fulbright for you. The University of Michigan is the highest producing public research university of Fulbright Fellows. Fulbright is a competitive fellowship, but the International Institute provides support and feedback through every step of the application process. Let this event be your first step on the road to Fulbright!

Food and refreshments will be available starting at 5:30 PM

If you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to attend this event, please reach out to us at: dcam@umich.edu. Please be aware that advance notice is necessary as some accommodations may require more time for the university to arrange.
