The Department of Middle East Studies will hold a memorial for Michael Bonner, Professor of Medieval Islamic History, who suddenly and tragically passed away on May 25, 2019.

Please join us, as we commemorate a visionary scholar, an inspiring teacher, an intellectual, and a real mensch, who loved life and loved sharing its joys with others. In this spirit, we will gather on October 4, 3.30-5.00 pm, in the third floor Atrium in the Thayer Building, inviting everybody to share memories, stories, and maybe also music, jokes, and more.
