Led by Music Director Rotem Weinberg and Assistant Music Director Tal Benatar, the Michigan Pops Orchestra presents “From Pops, With Love” on November 23rd, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. in the Michigan Theater. As the University of Michigan’s only student-run, student-directed orchestra, Michigan Pops is putting on a show guaranteed to make audience- members of all ages fall in love with music from Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s Romeo & Juliet, John Williams’s Star Wars, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera, and much more! “From Pops, With Love” will be a dynamic and engaging show utilizing a unique combination of vocal performers, multimedia, stage antics, and special effects.
Working under the guidance of the University Activities Center, the Michigan Pops Orchestra’s members comprise a diverse group of undergraduate and graduate students studying everything from English to Engineering.
