This opening event for the exhibit "Pictures of Resistance: The Wartime Photographs of Jewish Partisan Faye Schulman" will include brief remarks and light refreshments.
Zvi Gitelman will talk about "Soviet Jews in Combat: Resistance or Patriotism?" Gitelman is a political science professor, Preston R. Tisch professor of Judaic Studies, and head fellow at the Frankel Institute for Advanced Judaic Studies at the University of Michigan.
Lenore Weitzman will discuss major themes from her book, Women in the Holocaust. Weitzman is currently a fellow at the Frankel Institute for Advanced Judaic Studies at the University of Michigan.
