This discounted event is only available to students (2 ticket limit). Group discounted student ticket price is $20 per person with a valid UMID. If you are not a student you may purchase tickets at the regular price from the UMS ticket office.

Register: In order to reserve your ticket for this event, you must sign up and pay in advance by the deadline at the front desk of the International Center (IC) on Central Campus. Cash only and exact change is appreciated. A valid UMID must be presented by the student purchasing the ticket(s). Limited space is available.

Meeting time, location, and tickets: On October 9th, please arrive between 3:15pm to 3:30pm at the IC on Central Campus to receive your ticket. Tickets will not be available until this time. The group will leave the IC at 3:30pm to walk over to the event location. Please be on time!

Event Description: Chinese-born pianist Yuja Wang is widely recognized for her superior control and technique. Born in Beijing, she started playing the piano at six years old and began traveling the world to perform. She has studied music at Calgary’s Mount Royal College and the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. Yuja’s style of play has been called “astounding” and “superhuman.” The performance will be Yuja’s second UMS performance, as she crisscrosses the globe performing with major orchestras and in recital.
