Tech for Social Good Kickoff Event
Tech for Social Good is a new organization on campus committed to fostering a space for people who want to advocate for social justice causes through the lens of working in technology. We aim to do this by creating a campus-wide dialogue on interdisciplinary tech issues and by enabling students to get involved with the community and work on tech projects for local nonprofits.
The organization's first meeting will be on Wednesday, January 15th in North Quad's Space 2435. The first meeting will consist of an introduction to the organization's goals and mission, a chance for new members to get to know each other, and a presentation on the complicated relationship between technology and social change by Professor Kentaro Toyama. This event is open to anyone!
