“What is the role of a Center for Jewish Studies at a modern university and how can an Associate Director support this mission?" I will present my vision for the field, elements of my teaching and research experience that have led me to this understanding of Jewish studies, as well as practical ways that I think a center's associate director can actualize this vision.
