Rising Lansing singer-songwriter Jen Sygit (rhymes with "dig it") has gained airplay with a pleasantly bluesy sound that carries forward influences from Gillian Welch, Patty Griffin, Bonnie Raitt, and Lucinda Williams. She comes to Michigan with a new album, "It's About Time," produced by longtime friend and collaborator Dominic John Davis (bassist to Jack White, Buddy Miller, North Mississippi Allstars, Joshua Davis). This new collection of original songs is an eclectic journey drawing influences from a cross section of middle America spanning from the Gulf Shore sands to the Great Lakes basin.
