Greek Life Program Series - Introduction to Personal Safety
How can I tell if I'm in danger? How do I signal before an attack that I will not make a good victim? What are my choices for protecting myself? This session includes risk assessment, the most common perpetrators and victims, and an introduction to simple and effective physical, verbal and emotional self-defense techniques. The emphasis is on the most common dangerous situations for students on college campuses. This workshop is open to people of all physical abilities. You do not have to be physically fit to empower yourself by learning about personal safety! Survivors of violence are welcome - you're invited to participate in whatever way works for you.
