The film "Defiance" tells the true story of the four Bielski brothers, who saved 1,200 lives in Poland (now Belarus) and organized the largest Jewish resistance unit during World War II.

Aron Bell, the last surviving Bielski brother, will introduce the film.

This program complements the exhibit "Pictures of Resistance: The Wartime Photographs of Jewish Partisan Faye Schulman" that is currently on display at the Hatcher Gallery.
