Connect with Chief Operating Officer at Insight Venture Partners, Ian Sandler

With over 17 years of experience in leadership roles, Ian Sandler currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Insight Venture Partners. In addition to leading teams at Citadel, the Carlyle Group and Morgan Stanley, Ian will share the details of his career path and experience leading and hiring in the software investing industry as well as how that work has shifted as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Also, as the co-founder of Riley's Way Foundation, Ian has a deep commitment to this cause that enriches the lives of others by engaging young leaders and he weaves purpose and impact into everything he does personally and professionally. Ian is interested in helping LSA students understand how this intersection between purpose and work can shape their futures and amplify the change they make in the world. As an experienced mentor and '96 LSA alum, Ian helps students engage with and activate the powerful network of U-M alums.
