Connect with Kiesha Jackson, Founder and Executive Director of Detroit-based Calebe’s Kids

Kiesha Jackson (Sociology ‘05) is the Founder and Executive Director of Caleb’s Kids, a nonprofit organization that provides life-changing outreach to youth, grades 6 - 12, around mental health awareness, suicide prevention, resiliency, coping skills, and self-esteem. She is passionate about mental health education, awareness, and advocacy, specifically as it relates to youth. Kiesha earned a Master of Science in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University, and she is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bellevue University. Join Kiesha and peers for a edifying conversation about nurturing a strong passion for philanthropy and serving others and pursuing a path in community service and social change.

You should attend this workshop if you are:
A liberal arts and/or sciences student
Interested in pursuing a career in social impact and/or nonprofits
Exploring career interests that are mission-focused

What you’ll gain by attending:
Gain an understanding of nonprofit organization and the foundational work that goes into establishing one
Learn more about the state of mental health in Metro-Detroit’s youth (grades 6-12) and how you can help
Learn how to utilize the skills and experiences you gained during your time at Michigan’s LSA college and translate them into real life opportunities
