CommonSpirit Health Administrative Fellowship Information Session

CommonSpirit Health is excited to sponsor an 18-month Administrative Fellowship, fostering executive training in an integrated health system environment. We are writing to encourage your students to apply for the inaugural CommonSpirit Health Administrative Fellowship. In 2019, twoof the largest health systems in the United States, Catholic Health Initiatives and Dignity Health joined forces to create CommonSpirit Health. Today, CommonSpirit Health is the largest nonprofit mission-driven health system in the country and has a presence of 142 hospitals across 21 states.The goal of the Fellowship is to train and educate post-graduate studentswith a complete perspective of both a national integrated healthcare system and the regional healthcare arena in which it operates. Throughout the 18-month Fellowship, the Fellow, the Executive Champion, and the systemWorkforce Development Team will work together to craft an experience thatmatches the Fellow's Interests as well as the needs of the organization.

The coming 2021-2022 CommonSpirit Health Administrative Fellowship will be hosting a fellow in each of the following divisions:

• Arizona, Dignity Health Phoenix AZ
• Greater Sacramento, Dignity Health Rancho Cordova CA
• Midwest, CHI Health Omaha NE
• Pacific Northwest, CHI Franciscan Tacoma WA
• Southeast, CHI St. Vincent's Little RockAR
• Texas, CHI St. Luke’s Health Houston TX
• Mission Integration, Greater Sacramento Service Area CA

Fellows will spend their first rotation with divisional leadership and attend executive leadership meetings, cultivate a basic understanding of the organizational structure anddevelop fundamental knowledge on key systems within the respective division. During the remaining rotations, fellows will gain experience in the acute hospital setting, in the clinic setting, and in an interim leadership role and additional areas that match their interests. In each of these areas, fellows will be immersed in day-to-day operations, have the opportunity to take ownership of projects, and lead initiatives. Fellows shallhave access to divisional leadership team members and meetings throughoutthe entire fellowship.
