About the panelists:
Jamila Yakubu is a Senior Associate at Clinton Health Access Initiative, a global health organization operating across 36 countries. Currently based in Nigeria, Jamila provides technical support to the National Immunization Programs of six countries on strengthening health service delivery and improving vaccination outcomes such as increased coverage and reduced infant and child mortality. She also supports countries in expanding their citizens’ access to new vaccines, such as the forthcoming COVID-19 vaccine(s) through program planning, costing, and rollout management.
She was previously a program manager at the University of Michigan’s Department of Emergency Medicine. Jamila graduated from the University of Michigan’s School of Public Health with a Masters in Health Behavior and Health Education in 2013
Paul Cheh is currently stationed in Bangkok as the Deputy Secretary General at the Thailand National Health Foundation (NHF), an independent non-profit organization whose mission is to support public health efforts for a healthier Thailand and Southeast Asia. He is also a consultant for the United Nations Economic and Social Commission’s (UNESCAP) Social Development Division in Bangkok, the UN’s regional hub promoting cooperation among countries to achieve inclusive and sustainable development.
Prior to moving to Thailand, Paul worked in his home country of the United States as a Program Officer at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), the country’s largest philanthropy devoted to health and health care. There, he managed a grant portfolio valued at $35 million and additional national programs focused on family and child health. Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis and a Master of Public Health from the University of Michigan.
Ken Rosenblood is the founder of obVus Solutions, a medical technology company that has created a fully integrated platform to help people take control of their health and wellness. They’re most known for the minder, a patented wearable device that monitors posture, breathing, respiratory patterns, heart rate, activity, steps and skin temperature. As an entrepreneur at heart, Ken has a proven successful track record of pioneering multi-billion dollar PaaS/SaaS platforms supporting dental and healthcare practices.
He started his own law practice straight out of law school in 1988 before joining Discus Dental in 1993 as Chief Operations Officer. Ken then acquired Banyan International and Health First, a medical solutions company. He served as the CEO for five years until he left in 2014 to begin developing the early stages of what was to become obVus Solutions. Ken has a Bachelor of Arts. in Architecture, Art History and Sociology from UCLA, and a J.D. from Southwestern Law School.
