Poetry Editor Eloisa Amezcua, The Shallow Ends

Eloisa Amezcua is from Arizona. Her debut collection, From the Inside Quietly, is the inaugural winner of the Shelterbelt Poetry Prize selected by Ada Limón. Her poems and translations are published in New York Times Magazine, Poetry Magazine, Kenyon Review, Gulf Coast, and others. Her second collection of poems, Fighting Is Like a Wife, is forthcoming from Coffee House Press.
A MacDowell fellow, Eloisa is founder/editor-in-chief of The Shallow Ends: A Journal of Poetry where she has published over 200 poets ranging from high school students to National Book Award winners and finalists. She is also the associate poetry editor for Honeysuckle Press where she selects and edits chapbooks for publication. A freelance poetry editor, Eloisa is the founder of Costura Creative and visiting professor for Randolph College’s MFA program.
