MASA is a student engineering team at the University of Michigan. We teach students about the basics of rocketry while providing hands-on exposure to the design, build, and test phases of engineering. In 2017, we won the inaugural Spaceport America Cup, and in 2018, we launched the very first student-built liquid-bipropellant rocket at the competition. Now, we've embarked on our most ambitious project yet - building the largest, fastest, and most powerful rocket ever built by students anywhere and launching it to space in 2021! Join our team as we compete for a $1 million prize. MASA is open to any grad or undergrad student at the University of Michigan and other nearby schools. We're looking for everyone from Aerospace Engineering to Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, CLaSP, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Business, and even non-Engineering students. Our mission is to teach students about rocketry, and no experience or knowledge is required to join! Learn more about MASA, or check out the Prospective Member FAQ
