Moderated by artist and alumnus Stephanie Brown (MFA ‘18), From Here to There brings current Stamps students and Stamps alums together for honest and accessible conversations about the alumni’s creative career path.

Designed to help Stampers navigate their art and design careers, these talks will reveal the “nuts and bolts” of how Stamps alums worked to find a home in their creative career. With a different alumni featured bi-monthly, this live interview will be followed by a Q&A with students.BONUS: From Here to There participants will receive contact information for the alumni speaker, who will welcome follow-up questions via email and/or social media. From Here to There is a great way for students to start their professional networking journey — and get the critical information they need to design their present and their future for the real world.About the Speaker: Brian Vincent Rhodes, Writer, Director, Story Artist, and Stand UpBrian Vincent Rhodes grew up as an acclaimed fine artist in Detroit, Michigan. An alumnus of the University of Michigan, Rhodes studied mechanical engineering and industrial design and upon graduation designed for clients such as Chrysler, NASA, and Apple.  After winning an Apple Computers film competition, Brian decided to pursue his dream of becoming a filmmaker and went on to attend the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts with a focus in Animation and Digital Arts. Now, an alumnus of USC, Rhodes has won multiple international awards including several Telly Awards and was selected as a BAFTA finalist for Mosquito: The Bite of Passage. Rhodes has worked with notable companies such as FX and Blue Sky Studios (Disney/20th Century Fox) as a storyboard artist for Spies in Disguise and as a story consultant for upcoming feature projects.  Brian has also held lead creative roles on projects for Apple TV, Netflix, the Sundance Film Festival, and the Grammys.Stamps events are free and open to the public, and we are committed to making them accessible to all attendees.
