Deadline for 2021 Annual Midwest Case Competition, hosted by MECC

Michigan Graduate Consulting Club (MGCC) presents the 2021 Annual Midwest Case Competition for all graduate students (Ph.D., non-MBA Master, post-doc, MD, JD, and PharmD, etc) in the Midwest region. You will be working in a team of 2-5 to solve a real business problem to win a $600 prize and hone your skills to excel in the consulting world. In addition you will get opportunities to network with the major consulting firms!

To register for the case competition, please visit our registration page. Ony team registration is accepted, but we also provide a teaming page for those of you who wish to find your teammates.

Important Dates:
- Register teams here (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSevCpt_ZhqVTT4eiTGopicBoPeXFl8IFbepkATlj4-11olGTA/viewform?usp=sf_link) by Thursday, Feb 18th 11:59 pm EST.
- Case problem distributed to teams via email on Friday, Feb 19th 11:59 pm EST.
- First-round case response is due by Sunday, Feb 28th 11:59 pm EST.
- Finalists notified via email by Tuesday, March 2th 6 pm EST.
- Final rounds presentation edits are due by Thursday, March 4th 11:59 pm EST.
- Finalists present to a judging panel of our sponsors on Friday, March 5th.

Competition Rules:
- Team size is limited between 2 to 5 group members; each team must include 1 graduate student (PhDs, MDs, JDs, Post-Doc, or non-MBA master).
- No faculty/advisor support
- This year’s case is pharmaceutics-related but it does not require any specialty knowledge and it is open to all majors. Students can be from any discipline, and having a diverse team is encouraged and possibly helpful.
- Deliverables
- First round: 1-3 page executive summary and an additional 12 to 15 pages of a - PowerPoint presentation in support of the summary, substantiating any analysis you may do
- Final round 1: 15-minute PowerPoint presentation to the panel of judges from our sponsors
- Final round 2: 25-minute PowerPoint presentation to the panel of judges from our sponsors
- For final presentations on March 5th, all the students are not required to be present, though full team participation is highly encouraged.
