SMBC Meet and Greet (US Corporate Banking, Fund Finance, Global Financial Institutions, North America Project Finance)

Our SMBC Meet and Greet Series is a unique opportunity to meetand interact with the various business areas that hire interns and analysts. This session will feature overviews of five business groups followed by a Q&A session.

US Corporate Banking (USCB) - Corporate Solutions Group (CSG) & Lending Management Group (LMG)

The US Corporate Bank (USCB) works with multinational clients headquartered in the U.S. to support their growing business needs. We leverage our network of relationships across the globe and our model is cross-functional, so our customers deal withone Relationship Manager for corporate loans and to access SMBC’s full range of products and services across the capital structure. USCB teams include: Media and Telecom; Technology; Health Care; Automotive, Transportation & Mobility; Oil and Gas; Utilities and Power; Diversified Industrials; Consumer and Retail; Real Estate, Leisure and Gaming. Within USCB, the Lending Management Group (LMG) is responsible for end to end deal execution and portfolio management.

The Corporate Solutions Group (CSG) augments our client coverage efforts by generating timely and relevantideas that provide SMBC’s clients with best-in-class advice and solutions regarding capital structure, ratings, liquidity, debt capacity, M&Afinance, and more using a product agnostic approach. A career in CSG is one that offers a high level of interaction with key client decision makers, as well as with colleagues throughout the bank in various product groups including loan, debt & equity capital markets, derivatives and investment banking as well as client & product teams in Tokyo, London, and Singapore.

Fund Finance

SMBC’s Global Structured Finance team is one of the world’s leading project finance powerhouse. We provide debtand equity services to clients globally and have strong market positioning. We provide a variety of financing solutions for large scale infrastructure projects including conventional and renewable power plants, transmission lines, mining, oil and gas facilities, toll roads, ports, airports, bridges and hospitals across US and Canada. Our typical products are structuring of project finance, financial advisory to project developers,long / short term loan to project, large scale underwriting of the loans, bond (144A, US private placement) arrangement, Export Credit Agency financing and M&A.
