To be mindful means cultivating an awareness of the interconnected nature of our lives with a commitment to lead a life with dignity. Our workshop draws on the Mindful Mindset framework (Mahalingam, 2019), a holistic approach to mindfulness drawing from intersectionality theory, Buddhist psychology, social justice, and labor studies, developed by BLI Director and Professor of Psychology Ram Mahalingam. This framework centers on inclusive leadership through the dignity and interconnectedness of all human beings at the center of mindfulness and engaged living.
In this 90-minute session, you will creatively explore your leadership identity. You will develop an introductory “toolkit” of interpersonal and leadership skills and practices that incorporate the seven features of the Mindful Mindset and other contemplative practices. Our workshop will deepen your understanding, engagement, and connection with yourself and others.
Speaker: Elizabeth Rohr, Academic Program Specialist, Barger Leadership Institute
